For floating floor installations you can use Studio Silent Shield, Helix or Regupol 4515 underlays.
If you choose to install Studio Wood as a glue-down floor, you can still use an underlay if you want to – for example, you may need it for acoustic reduction in multi-tenancy applications, or you may choose to use it in multi-level homes to reduce the amount of noise transferred to the room below.
For glue-down wood flooring installations you can use Studio Helix or Regupol 4515 underlays.
♦ Silent Shield is a 2mm foam sheet and provides an approx 18dB acoustic reduction under 8mm laminate.
♦ Regupol 4515 is a 4.5mm foam and cork sheet bound with polyurethane that provides a 19dB acoustic reduction under 8mm laminate and a 17dB acoustic reduction under 14mm wood.
Note, all acoustic reductions are lab tested and intended as a guide only, in-situ results will depend on the floor/ceiling construction the product is laid on top of.
